As a true fine art studio, we teach drawing, painting, ceramics, wheel throwing and printmaking  - with a professional  printmaking press - for artists of all ages and abilities. Since 1994, Artful Journey has been instrumental in guiding our community's understanding and appreciation of fine arts. Many well known artists have shared their knowledge and techniques at the school, which is committed to continuing our great tradition of instructing and training artists of all ages, with a special emphasis placed on teaching young children and teens.  

Started by an artist, intent on teaching artists and steadfast in holding to its guiding principles, the language of art and creative expression is taught through the immersion of the practices of the language of children: drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, craftwork, history, theory and most importantly, understanding the relationship between what's being created and how that artist views the relationship. With an emphasis on learning the foundations of fine and visual arts we strive to enhance metaphorical thinking as our students engage in the process of creating.

Our year round offering of fine art and visual arts classes and camps allow students to learn at their own pace, from artists who are attuned to sharing their artistic beliefs and methods while learning the foundation of drawing or creating that will last a lifetime.

All Artful Journey classes are set in supportive, lively, funfilled, non-competitive environments that allow students to explore their creativity while providing enough structure to ensure skill development. Every month, the school offers continuous classes, camps, mini-camps, private lessons and workshops. Our classes are designed to enhance a students journey through their course of learning at the school.

 Having taught thousands of students over the years, we look forward to continuing our long tradition of providing a creative environment as students of all ages and levels continue to take their artful journey at our vibrant school.

 At the present time, Artful Journey teaches in our Evergreen studio and fine art and ceramic enrichment classes at more than 12 elementary school in Jefferson, Denver and Douglas counties. We are proud to be able to have a faculty of more than 10 artists and teachers working with the school. Throughout the year, the school will provide parents, students and the community e-mail updates about classes, workshops, winter/spring break/holiday camps, art shows, events, and other happenings. Artful Journey is located in Evergreen, Colorado in the Evergreen North Center in a large, comfortable, studio with more than 1,400sf of well-lit classroom space. We look forward to teaching you soon.
